Parts/Kit Overview

The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Stage 2 Kit was developed to improve overall engine horsepower, handling, and pump efficiency with easy to install “Race Proven” high performance “Bolt On” parts. Each component part listed can be installed and used as a stand-alone product or in complete kit format to compete competitively in Offshore Racing Classes. The R&D SVHO Stage 2 Kit has been extensively tested in all water conditions for performance and reliability in true hard core racing conditions. For years R&D Performance Kits have been the Premier Offshore Racing Kits to beat winning 17 offshore championships in 20 years of offshore competition. The R&D Kit will add a full 12-13 miles per hour to top speed performance and transform the Yamaha GP 1800 into one of the best handling, and most competitive watercraft available.

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Aquavein Intake Grate is must have performance adder! Replacing the O.E.M. “Non Winged” grate with the R&D Race Proven Aquavein “Top Loader” will add some serious rough water hook up, and better top speed averages, GAURANTEED! The R&D Grate will significantly reduce cavitation, increase acceleration, and add 2-3 mph plus to top end performance in flat or rough water conditions! The Aquavein Grate will deliver a noticeable increase in rear end traction, and top speed stability. Low and high speed cornering stability is also significantly increased

  • The R&D GP 1800 Ride Plate has some new speed tricks added to increase overall handling performance that will also add to the GP 1800’s top speed performance! Testing has proven to add 1-2 MPH over the stock GP 1800 plate, and 2-3 MPH increased top speed averages in rough water conditions! Much Improved straight line stability, and Improved deep chop performance. The R&D Ride plate works superb to get rid of the annoying rear end wander or teeter noticed at speeds above 75. The R&D Plate is super stable at 85 MPH Plus! A must for Recreational/Offshore riding! The Plate Kit is position (Angle) adjustable with kit supplied shims which will accommodate Closed Course or Offshore conditions.

  • The R&D GP 1800 Pump Shoe/Intake Grate Sealer Kit will seal up the R&D intake grate, pump shoe and pump inlet to help reduce cavitation. Pump hook-up, and top speed performance are increased significantly!

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO High Performance Cooling Kit will substantially reduce engine temperatures and keep them stable and under control to 160-175 degrees allowing speed runs after speed runs to be done, or run a 15 lap main event race without severe overheat fade . The O.E.M. cooling kit is definitely highly inadequate for higher boost pressure and higher rpm engine packages. Race testing on the GP 1800 without the R&D Kit displayed a full 150-200 RPM “Drop Off” and 1+ MPH speed loss due to heat fade. The R&D Cooling Kit has been the #1 kit to use in Recreational, Off Shore, and Closed Course conditions around the world.

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Power Plenum Filter Kit will add a noticeable increase in throttle response and overall power by opening up and allowing more air flow over the super restrictive O.E.M. paper filter located in the air plenum box. O.E.M. paper filters are known to be over restrictive causing sluggish low-end power! The R&D Filter is easy to install in 15 minutes, adds a great sound tone, and adds peak rpm’s and power. The R&D Air Filter element is lifetime serviceable over the restrictive non serviceable stock filter.

  • The R&D SVHO intake manifold ribbon remover sleeve will unlock a 35-40 CFM (cubic feet per minute) air flow restriction by replacing the intake manifold ribbon with the R&D billet intake manifold sleeve. Increased throttle response, Stronger mid range pull, and increased boost pressures. Expect a 100 RPM gain with the R&D Power Sleeve.

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO R2 Re-programmed ECU has all the top ECU racing upgrades such as raised rev limiter settings, raised boost limiter setting to allow full boost potentials, aggressive race ignition timing advancements, re worked fuel tables that will allow big power to be gained at a very reasonable price. Note: R&D Pro Stock Ignition Programs are designed to work with the I.J.S.B.A.’s stock injector and fuel pump rules. NOTE: R&D R1, R2, and R3 Offshore programs are designed to be used exclusively with 91 octane or Sunoco 100 Racing Fuels. R&D also offers the popular R3 ECU Program that can also be used in the kit.   • The R&D GP 1800 50mm Surge Valve Kit will eliminate the massive off throttle surge that can and will cause compressor wheel, supercharger shaft, and clutch damages and failures. Any high performance race machine with a supercharger or turbo charger installed should have a surge valve kit! The R&D Surge Valve Kit is an absolute must have part for the new GP 1800.

  • The R&D 14/19 Pro Pitch Impellor offers excellent acceleration, added mid range pull and improved top speed performance while keeping the RPM,s at a reasonably low range. No one has tested more impellor combinations or has more experience with impellor set ups than R&D. Trust the Pro’s at R&D for all your impellor and pump set up needs.   • The R&D SVHO Billet Adjustable Pump Cone Kit is a bolt on part designed to work with the stock SVHO Venturi nozzle diameter. The R&D APC adds additional length over the OEM cone, and comes complete with length tuning spacers. The extended length allows custom rpm tuning, reduced cavitation, and adds additional pump thrust. Precision tuning the pump cones length with the kit included cone spacers will enable you perfectly tune your pump for maximum thrust, superior holeshot, improved acceleration, and boosted top speed performance. Precision CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, anodized for corrosion resistance and o-ring sealed for leak free pump bearing protection. The R&D Cone Kit offers precise prop/rpm/nozzle tuning and higher top speeds over interchangeable nozzle rings set-ups, guaranteed.

  • The R&D GP 1800 SVHO Pro Series Adjustable Sponson Kit offers 2 rider preferred adjustable blade positions, as well as an adjustable backing plate option that allows Axis adjustments, as well as up and down position options. The R&D Kit will accommodate custom settings for the recreational rider, offshore, or closed course racer. The R&D precision cast aluminum backing plate and Race Inspired sponson blade will significantly improve low and high speed cornering capabilities, and add unmatched straight line stability. The R&D “Dual Washer” Impellor Spacer Kit replaces the O.E.M. single seal washer with a specifically designed and machined kit that incorporates a second low friction slip washer to be used which allows impellors to be removed with 50 percent less torque during the impellor removal process! Tired of Impellors that are so galled up that impellors have to be machined or cut off? Tired of broken impellor tools and broken vises? Install the R&D low friction “Dual Washer” Kit and impellor removal will be super easy when making impellor changes.
